What's new?

• Azure > Compute > Disk > Active can now take a snapshot of a disk before deleting it, so disks that are no longer in use can be cleaned up without losing their data. Choose one of the new Enforce: Snapshot and delete inactive with 1/3/7/14/30/60/90/180/365 days warning values. The snapshot is created and confirmed before the disk is deleted, and if it cannot be created the disk is left in place.
• Azure > Compute > Disk > Allowed > Custom offers the same choice for disks that do not meet your custom rules, through the new Enforce: Snapshot and delete if not allowed and Enforce: Snapshot and delete if not allowed and resource is new values. The existing Enforce: Delete values on both controls are unchanged and continue to delete disks directly, so you can choose direct deletion or snapshot-then-delete for each scope.
